Face Data Usage (TrueDepth API)

The "Smart Detection Mode" in the "SlowEat" app uses the device's front camera (TrueDepth) to detect chewing actions. This section details how this feature handles facial data.

Data Collected

• Only reads the `jawOpen` value (a coefficient between 0.0-1.0) provided by ARKit.
• Does not collect facial geometry data or face meshes.
• Does not collect facial feature points.
• Does not collect facial images or photos.
• Does not collect any other facial BlendShape coefficients.

Data Usage

This data is used only to:

• Detect chewing actions in real-time (by monitoring jaw opening/closing).
• Calculate the number of chews during a meal.
• Calculate chewing speed/intervals.
• Alert the user when eating too fast.

This feature aims to help users develop healthy eating habits of chewing slowly.

Data Handling

• Processed Locally: All facial data is processed entirely in real-time on your device.
• No Storage: No facial data is stored locally or remotely.
• No Transmission: No facial data is transmitted or uploaded over any network.
• No Sharing: Facial data is not shared with any third parties.
• Instant Deletion: All data is cleared from memory immediately after the detection session ends.

Apple Music Data Usage

For apps involving Apple Music features (such as playlist conversion tools), we use Apple's MusicKit framework to interact with your Apple Music library.

Data Access and Use

• Access Permission: We require permission to access your media library to create new playlists and add songs to them for you.
• Local/Direct Interaction Only: The app processes data locally on your device or communicates directly with Apple's servers to execute your commands (such as "Create Playlist").
• No Data Collection: We (the developer) do not collect, store, transmit, or share your Apple Music account information, playback history, or playlist data.
• Purpose Limitation: The permissions obtained are used solely to implement the core function of "converting text to playlists".
